The NFL offseason is the best time to learn about the intricacies of the game of football. Some might know the minute details of the game, while others might hear someone speaking a foreign language when they bring up terms like "Nickel", "Cover 2" and "I-Formation".
However, you have to start somewhere, in regards to expanding your knowledge base of the game. When it comes to teaching these concepts, you might as well learn from the best, and ask any fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers who would be the best teacher and they would probably suggest former head coach Bill Cowher.
In the video below, Cowher explains the 'Cover 3' defense, how offenses expose the defense and how defenses can then counter-punch the offense in such a scenario. Cowher does a tremendous job outlining the details of the defense, and all on a pretty cool clear board for everyone to see exactly what 'Coach Chin' is talking about.
No matter what anyone says, even though Cowher is retired, you can still hear and see the passion he has for the game. So, sit back and enjoy some 'Cowher Power' as he outlines the 'Cover 3' defense.
