What started off as a simple ranking of the Top 100 players in the NFL, NFL Network's 'Top 100' has turned into must-watch television for the football starved fan. During the slow months, NFL Network has fans not only watching, but debating, the weekly ranking show to see where their favorite players from their favorite teams might end up.
For fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers, the debating will certainly start when many awake on Thursday to see their quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was ranked 21st. This was an improvement after being ranked 26th last year, but still a far cry from the credit Roethlisberger deserves.
Could the ranking have something to do with his health, or lack thereof? Certainly could. Roethlisberger's 2015 season was marred with injuries to his knee, foot and shoulder. All either caused the quarterback to miss significant time, or play injured, and certainly hurt his overall statistics.
Nonetheless, Roethlisberger doesn't hang his hat on individual awards or accolades, but by Super Bowl championships...something he has done twice. He has another great opportunity in 2016 to make it to his 4th Super Bowl of his career.
