It almost seemed like a scene from a really bad movie. Young and unproven player is given the nod as the starter for the team's opening game, and in the next practice leaves the field with an injury. Call it too good to be true, but the fact of the matter is this is exactly what happened to Pittsburgh Steelers rookie nose tackle Javon Hargrave on Monday.
With the news spreading like wildfire across Steelers Nation, everyone was searching for a tidbit, a nugget, a tweet or really just anything to give a glimmer of hope for Hargrave's status for the season opener in Washington on Monday Night Football.
Looking for hope, look no further than ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, for the win.
Nothing official but I’m hearing Steelers DT Javon Hargrave’s injury not expected to be serious. Hoping to play Week 1

The news of Fowler hearing Hargrave's injury isn't considered to be serious is phenomenal news, but also isn't official. The Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin will address the media for the first time of the regular season Tuesday at noon, and will likely update all injuries facing the team heading into the season opener.
Stay tuned to BTSC for the latest news on Hargrave's injury, as well as all news surrounding the Steelers with the 2016 season on the doorstep.
