You don’t have to remind Pittsburgh Steelers fans just how close their team was to Super Bowl 51. Sure, they got their doors blown off by the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game, but being one of four teams left in the tournament leaves a team and fan base with a ridiculously bad taste in their mouths.
As the Steelers head into the offseason, the sports books in Las Vegas are already starting to plan for the 2017-2018 NFL season with the first odds to win Super Bowl 52.
Sounds crazy, right? Having odds released for Super Bowl 52 when Super Bowl 51 hasn’t even occurred yet, but that isn’t how Vegas works. They always want to be one step ahead of the game, and never turn down a chance to move some money.
With that said, it should shock no one the Patriots have the best odds to win it all, followed by the Green Bay Packers and the Steelers.
Check out the odds below, and if you don’t know how these type of odds work, here is a quick description to help make sense of these numbers.
Positive figures
If the figure quoted is positive, the odds are quoting how much money will be won on a $100 wager (done if the odds are better than even). Fractional odds of 4/1 would be quoted as +400 while fractional odds of 1/4 cannot be quoted as a positive figure.
