Just when you thought the Pittsburgh Steelers could possibly have a drama-free week heading into a Week 7 game against the AFC North rival Bengals, reports surface Martavis Bryant has requested a trade from the team.
Sources: #Steelers playmaking WR Martavis Bryant recently requested a trade. His teammates and coaches are well aware that he’s unhappy.

There is no naming of the sources, and Ian Rapoport is hardly a favorable source of information for fans of the Steelers, we all remember the ‘Ben Roethlisberger wants out’ reports, but this is still a surprise.
After all, it was the Steelers who stuck by Bryant when he was suspended by the NFL for violating the team’s substance abuse policy. They easily could have cut ties with the receiver, and decided to move on with a new receiver group.
Bryant is clearly frustrated, whether the official request of a trade happened or not, but he has to be wondering what is going on when rookie JuJu Smith-Schuster is playing more than him.
There seems to be a lot more to this story here, and be sure to stay tuned to BTSC for more on this story as it unfolds...
UPDATE:
In his first year back from a suspension, Martavis Bryant was integrated slowly into the offense. 2 catches today. Ready for a new start.
