Steelers RB Le’Veon Bell named AFC Offensive Player of the Week

NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers at Kansas City Chiefs Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

The Pittsburgh Steelers have some stars on their team, and Le’Veon Bell is one of those stars. The All-Pro running back had himself a day in Week 6 vs. the Kansas City Chiefs, gaining 179 yards and a touchdown in the performance, and he was given some recognition for his play by being named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 6.

Per the Steelers, this is Bell’s third AFC Offensive Player of the Week award, which ties him with Hall of Famer Jerome Bettis for most by a Steelers running back in team history.

The challenge for Bell isn’t just how good he was against the Chiefs, but what kind of damage he can do against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 7. Either way, the question of whether Bell is “back” or not seems pretty clear at this point.

He’s back, and might just be better than ever.
