The NFL and its players have been marred in turmoil the past few weeks, but if you are honest with yourself it goes further back than just a few weeks. Try a few years as players continued to have issues both on, and off, the field.
It was recently when I decided to highlight some of the good the Steelers, but mainly the players, are doing in the community. This was the genesis of the ‘Steelers Give Back’ articles.
This week, we are highlighting members of the team who participated in the annual ‘Project Bundle Up’, a community-wide effort to provide jackets to children who don’t have one for the upcoming winter.
Often times when you walk out of your house in the morning and feel that cold chill in the air, your first instinct is to go back inside and grab a coat. What most people don’t realize is there are children going to school every day, in every city, who don’t have this luxury.
It was good to see members of the Steelers like T.J. Watt, JuJu Smith-Schuster and L.J. Fort out doing their part with this tremendous project.
