The Pittsburgh Steelers are practicing before their bye week, and the team made a move on their roster. No, it wasn’t a trade at the NFL Trade Deadline, but it could be a significant move.
The team took rookie cornerback Cameron Sutton off the Injured Reserve list as he returned to practice.
#Steelers CB Cameron Sutton has returned to practice today. Sutton, who is currently on IR, has 21 days to be activated by the team or he remains on season-ending IR. He does not count against the team's current 53-man roster, & the team does not have a roster exemption for him.

As stated above, the team now has 21 days to decide whether they want to activate Sutton, or not.
Sutton has been on injured reserve since Week 1 when he re-aggravated a hamstring injury in the Week 4 preseason game. The question surrounding this move would be if the team activates Sutton, who would be moved off the active roster? The cornerbacks on the team, Artie Burns, Joe Haden, Mike Hilton and William Gay, are all doing a tremendous job at the moment. Brian Allen could technically be the odd man out, but the team has kept him around for a reason.
Either way, the 21 days starts today, and the team will have some decisions to make sooner or later.
