Cam Heyward didn’t just play well against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 4. No, he has been dominating the opposition the entire season.
While Heyward has essentially been taking up residency in the offense’s backfield, it was good to see him finally given some credit for his efforts by the NFL. Heyward was recently named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week winner for his Week 4 performance in Baltimore Sunday.

Heyward’s day Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium certainly was memorable as he tallied 4 tackles, 3 solo tackles, 2 sacks, 3 tackles for loss, forced a fumble, recovered a fumble and two quarterback hits. Talk about having a day!
This is the first of such award given to Heyward, which will likely come as a surprise to many Steelers faithful, but his play in 2017 has been nothing short of spectacular.
All of us at BTSC send a “congratulations” to Heyward, as this is hopefully the first of many accolades bestowed upon him this year.
