James Harrison’s first media session in New England sounds a lot like those with the Steelers

James Harrison faced the media for the first time Friday, but “faced” the media is about all that he did.

James Harrison isn’t a warm and fuzzy guy.

You don’t have to be in front of him in a locker room to know this. Just watch the video of media scrums around his locker, and you get the most unwelcome vibe you can imagine coming from No. 92.

For the New England media, who now have the pleasure of talking with Harrison once a week, as most Pittsburgh media have pointed out — have fun.

Harrison did not answer questions until Friday, and when he did, he wasn’t about to answer any questions about the Steelers, or anything else for that matter. As every question is answered with just a cold stare, or one word answer, Harrison eventually dismisses the media after they don’t have any questions about the Patriots’ upcoming game against the Jets.

This isn’t an anti-Harrison, or anti-Patriots, dialogue. Harrison was this way for the majority, if not all, of his time in the Steel City. However, if fans are expecting Harrison to discuss, or even mention the Steelers, without Pittsburgh next on the schedule — you might want to think again.
