Super Bowl 51 is just around the corner, and it marks the completion of the 2016-2017 regular season, and as only one team will hold the Lombardi trophy as champions, there is a reason the Super Bowl has become the biggest sports attraction in North America, possibly the world.
All eyes will be glued to their televisions as the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons go head-to-head in Houston, but who do the experts like in this interconference grudge match?
Las Vegas gave their thoughts on the game, by placing the spread favoring New England by 3-points; however, Vegas also sees this game as being a high scoring affair. The Over/Under line has been set at 59 points. A tremendous total for a Super Bowl, but these two offenses look to unleash every trick in their bag to win the ultimate NFL prize.
So, back to the experts. It is actually evenly split between the two teams who are representing their conferences. Here at SB Nation, the majority of experts are taking Atlanta to win their first Super Bowl. Meanwhile, at ESPN, only Mike Golic likes Atlanta, and the rest of the field is going with New England.
At CBS Sports, they like Atlanta to be victorious in Super Bowl 51. 5 of their 8 experts who make weekly picks thinks the Falcons will come away victorious. However, at FOX Sports the majority like New England to win their 5th Super Bowl with Tom Brady and Bill Belichick at the helm.
These are just four websites, and the rest of the NFL Experts still logged their selections. Our friends at NFL Pick Watch, a website which takes all expert picks across the internet and logs them into an easy-to-read graph, 64-percent of “experts” are taking the Patriots in this matchup.
This is what fans want, right? A highly contested game between two very good football teams. That is exactly what the NFL has in the Atlanta-New England game, but who comes out victorious is anyone’s guess.
