Free agency in the NFL can be a bear, to keep this a PG environment, and the Pittsburgh Steelers and their fan base saw that first hand Friday when 10-year veteran Lawrence Timmons took his talents to South Beach with the Miami Dolphins.
As Mike Tomlin’s first NFL Draft pick of his head coaching career took a two-year deal with the ‘phins, fans, and former teammates, were left shocked. But it is a business, and these types of moves are made on a yearly basis.
Check out some of the cool things former teammates had to say on social media to wish the man they call “Law Dog” well in his new home. Have no fear Lawrence, you will always be a Steeler...even if you have a dolphin on the side of your helmet.
(Editor’s Note: This article will be updated as more players take to social media.)
