The Pittsburgh Steelers have kept Le’Veon Bell’s groin injury under lock and key for a while now. Whether it was him not being added to the injury report during the playoffs, or the will he or won’t he regarding his having to undergo surgery to repair the groin which kept him out of three quarters against the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game.

Although the team hasn’t announced anything official on Bell’s potential surgery, the All-Pro running back gave fans a pre-operation look on his official Snapchat account this morning.

Bell doesn’t say what surgery he is undergoing, but seems nervous about the procedure. If he is undergoing surgery on his groin, the timeline would make sense as he would then be able to rehabilitate the injury prior to the team’s offseason workouts and training camp.

With Bell playing 2017 under the franchise tag, he could potentially have a lot on the line heading into this season. Although the team seems determined to sign him to a long-term contract prior to the season, for both financial and performance reasons, Bell’s health is one of the main detractors for him getting a long-term deal.

Let’s hope Bell’s surgery is a success, and he is able to return to full strength without missing any time this season.
