Being a professional sports team in Pittsburgh brings a certain level of pride. Hence why the phrase “‘Burgh Proud” has become synonymous with Pittsburgh professional sports. Nonetheless, it isn’t just a slogan, or slang, but a very real pride and respect all three teams have for one another.
We’ve seen Sidney Crosby twirl a Terrible Towel after a Penguins game, seen Andrew McCutchen don a Evgeni Malkin jersey while traveling on the road and the Steelers were enthralled with the Penguins chase to the Stanley Cup last season.
To play sports in Pittsburgh means something, and the coaches follow their players’ lead.
While in Florida while attending NCAA Pro Days, Mike Tomlin and his staff visited Clint Hurdle and company to take in some Spring Training action. Take a look at some of the pictures which highlighted the annual visit to Bradenton, FL.
