There are many situations in everyday life which make you say, “Really?” And one of those stories happened today involving Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell.
No, Bell wasn’t in trouble off the field, but after agreeing to go to prom with a lifelong Pittsburgh fan, who resides in Wisconsin, after she secured enough retweets on Twitter, the High School she attends won’t allow the All-Pro ball carrier to attend the dance with her, per FOX Sports.

Per the school district where this student attends school, they released the following statement surrounding the situation, and why Bell will not be permitted to attend.
“You can Google Mr. Bell,” spokeswoman Terry Schuster said, per the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, apparently referencing Bell’s arrest in August 2014 for DUI and marijuana possession. The school also bars anyone over age 19 from attending.
“We have to be equitable in the way we treat our students,” she said. “We don’t even know if this is a real commitment.”
Although not allowed at the dance, Bell reportedly told the student he will attend any pre-prom activities she is attending, will bring his family and pose for pictures before she heads off to her High School prom.
I would say most fans would be okay with that if that is simply the consolation prize.
