Want to really gauge what is going on with fans and their thoughts on decisions made by the NFL? Head to social media. Doesn’t matter which platform, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and you will see what fans really think.
When it comes to the NFL schedule release, fans have every reason to gripe, because guess who will be dishing out their hard earned money to help give the billion dollar industry more money?
Right. The fans.
Before the schedule was officially released on Thursday at 8 p.m., Jeremy Fowler of ESPN tweeted the leak of the Steelers traveling to the Houston Texans on Christmas day.
Can confirm #Steelers playing at #Texans on Christmas. @McClain_on_NFL 1st. Second straight Christmas game for Pittsburgh

When seeing this, I wasn’t happy. Not after last season when the team played on every major holiday during the year. My four little kids just don’t seem to understand it, but I have a job to do.
I wasn’t the only person unhappy.
Wow surprise surprise lets play Christmas again. Real creative #not

But that isn’t the story here. The story is about my response to Fowler’s, and our followers’ hilarious responses to mine.
I hate this for so many reasons... https://t.co/VEU2Si9mIF

Just read some of these responses...
@btsteelcurtain I love it, all of my family hates it though

@btsteelcurtain The NFL is family, which is why they'll interrupt your Holiday.

@btsteelcurtain I hate it because it'll be the second consecutive year I throw up on the tree from anxiety
— Sean Felenczak, CSCS (@MindsetsAndReps) April 21, 2017
@btsteelcurtain you mean like they should be at home with their families instead of entertaining the Nation? Couldn't agree more #NFL

@btsteelcurtain Awesome, it gets me out of dealing with relatives I hate

I guess one man’s disappointment is another man’s pleasure. At least it is good to see Steelers Nation having a sense of humor about the Steelers playing on the biggest Christian holiday again next season.
