The Pittsburgh Steelers 2017 NFL Draft is quite popular in regards to the NFLPA. How do I know? The players’ association selected three of the team’s eight draft picks to attend the annual NFLPA Rookie Premier in Los Angeles, California from May 18-20.
The Steelers selected were second round pick Juju Smith-Schuster, third round pick James Conner and fourth round pick Joshua Dobbs. The good news for the first year players is they won’t be missing any of the Steelers’ Organized Team Activities (OTAs), which start Monday May 22nd.
So, what exactly happens at this NFLPA Rookie Premier? This from the NFLPA’s official website:
NFLPA Rookie Premiere is the first major business event following the NFL Draft, where players will gain insights and make connections that will assist in the development of their careers. Participating players will also go through a brief orientation which will highlight the union’s programs and services.
