Just like the early rounds of the NCAA tourney, the BTSC tournament of the tyrants features one-sided matchups early. In the #2/#15 matchup between quarterbacks that have ended Steeler championship dreams, Tom Brady emerged as the more hated.
The votes against Brady were based on the cheater label due to Deflategate, his insane success against Pittsburgh and his perceived smugness. But some commenters alleged that he’s only a decent QB and more of a product of the system. (Editorially, that's off base if you ask me.) Then KansasCitySteeler and FlipSteeler got in a battle of words and I found myself with a spinning head. But the bottom line is that a lot of fans hate the GOAT label bestowed upon him.
Rodgers did not have too many haters, but 42 voted him over Brady. The opponents of the Green Bay QB cited his alleged smugness, beating only the Steelers in a Super Bowl and the media’s endless praise of his greatness. A lot of people expressed having no problem with the State Farm pitch man.
Here’s the final tally.
Tom Brady - 92% (456 votes)
Aaron Rodgers - 8% (42 votes)
Brady moves on to a possible face off with his Patriot teammate, #7 Rob Gronkowski. Gronk faces off with #10 Richard Sherman. Stay with BTSC for all the Playa hatin’ action.
