This week has been a tumultuous one for Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell. After long-term contract negotiations fell through, he has clearly decided sitting out a part, or all, of training camp would be the best decision possible before he signs his franchise tag tender.
Reports from several sources agree with this sentiment, despite Antonio Brown, and fans’, efforts to get Bell to report to camp on time in preparation for the 2017 season.
See what was said on Twitter Thursday morning:
Reasonable to conclude that, with Le'Veon Bell not having signed franchise tender, he will not report to camp with rest of Steelers today.

Would be a major surprise if Le'Veon Bell showed up. Likely training at Bommarito's Gym. https://t.co/ExZ22f5K9S

As #Steelers report Thursday, eyes are on whether Le'Veon Bell shows (he won't). As big a story? Can deal get done so LT Al Villanueva does?

Bell could still shock the entire fan base and report on time Thursday, after all, he has been quiet on his SnapChat Thursday, but those who are banking on him showing might want to think again.
If Bell waits until camp breaks and the team heads back to the UMPC Rooney Practice Facility, after their second preseason game, he would avoid constant fan pressure and media attention which accompanies training camp.
Stay tuned to BTSC for the latest news on Bell arriving, or not, to training camp as well as everything else needed for the black and gold bleeding fan!
