Vontaze Burfict continues questionable behavior, but this time on his teammates

The demonstrative Bengals LB was at it again, but this time against his own teammates.

You don’t have to say more than ‘Vontaze Burfict’ to a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers to get a strong reaction from them. It started in 2015 when Burfict seemingly decimated the Steelers’ lineup, leading many to believe he ruined their chances at a Super Bowl run.

Burfict and the Steelers have a long history, but Burfict’s behavior, or shenanigans, on the field has started to stretch outside of the AFC North. Most recently, it happened with his own teammate.

In a non-tackling drill, Burfict shot the hole, hit and tackled Giovanni Bernard low, who is coming off a torn ACL in November.

Take a look at the play (some salty language could make this video not safe for work):

Although the hit wasn’t that bad, the fact it was only Bernard’s 4th practice, and first in pads, certainly makes you wonder. To compound matters, some Bengals beat writers are suggesting Burfict shoved the running backs coach, who was the person who came into the play yelling.

Following the play, is when the scrum ensued:

This isn’t a shock to Steelers fans. Anyone who has the ability to see has witnessed what Burfict has done throughout his NFL career, but this is different. This was against his teammate who is supposed to help him win games this fall. Bernard said after practice he thinks Burfict slipped, but I’m not sure how many are buying what he is selling.

What are your thoughts on the situation? Not that big of a deal, or just Burfict being Burfict?
