Steelers agree to terms on new 2-year contract with GM Kevin Colbert

The new contract will keep Colbert in Pittsburgh through the 2020 NFL Draft.

NFL: Combine Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

The Pittsburgh Steelers have been busy the past few days, and they continue throwing money around as they extend General Manager Kevin Colbert’s contract through the 2020 NFL Draft.

The move shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone, considering the team just extended head coah Mike Tomlin’s contract earlier this preseason. The two work well together, and the Steelers thrive on continuity.

With Tomlin and Colbert out of the way, the Steelers don’t have to worry about their head coach, or GM, anytime in the near future.

As for the players, the Steelers still have time, and money, to try and get Stephon Tuitt, and maybe Chris Boswell, both signed before Week 1 of the regular season..
