The Pittsburgh Steelers lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars in the Divisional Round of the AFC Playoffs, but they might be losing a big piece of their coaching staff as well.
Offensive line coach Mike Munchak interviewed for the vacancy in Arizona, and the Cardinals were impressed enough they want to bring him back for a second interview.
#AZCardinals are putting in 2nd interview requests today for their HC position, and #Steelers OL coach Mike Munchak is expected to receive one, sources tell me and @TomPelissero. He's a strong candidate.

More on #AZCardinals and Mike Munchak, a top candidate: #Titans wanted to keep him after 2013 assuming he'd make staff changes. He refused & was fired. But he held that place together ... Would he bring OC Todd Haley along with him? Haley is a free agent now.

It is honestly a shock no other NFL team looking for a head coach hasn’t tried to bring in Munchak, who has worked wonders for the Pittsburgh offensive line, and it looks as if he is going to be a finalist for the job vacated by the retirement of Bruce Arians.
Selfishly, the Steelers fan base wants to see Munchak stay in Pittsburgh. After all, he has turned the Pittsburgh offensive line into one of the best in the NFL, if not the best, but the fact remains he was a tremendous player who didn’t do all that bad in his stint as a head coach for the Tennessee Titans, but was released when he wouldn’t fire the majority of his staff.
