The Pittsburgh Steelers will be preparing for their Week 3 match-up with the Carolina Panthers without speedster Dri Archer. Archer injured an ankle in Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns and, despite working individually this week, he is listed as doubtful on the Steelers' official injury report.
Rarely do players listed as doubtful on Friday get upgraded during the weekend and end up on the active roster. Guard Ramon Foster, who tweaked an ankle in practice Monday, worked in a limited fashion Friday but is listed as questionable on the team's official injury report. The team will leave 'leave the light on', as head coach Mike Tomlin says, for Foster to possibly start Sunday night.
Other than Archer and Foster, the Steelers are a healthy football team. Martavis Bryant (shoulder), Lance Moore (groin) and Steve McLendon (shoulder) were all listed as probable.
The Steelers will be playing their second consecutive game on the road and are searching for their first road win of the 2014 season. Game time is 8:30 p.m. ET.
