The Pittsburgh Steelers received good news on the injury front today. Safety Shamarko Thomas and rookie wide receiver Martavis Bryant were both full participants in practice Tuesday. Joining Thomas and Bryant as full participants was cornerback Brice McCain who missed the season opener Sunday.
Not all news was pleasant in terms of injuries as rookie running back Dri Archer (ankle), offensive lineman Cody Wallace (finger/hamstring) and veteran wide receiver Lance Moore (groin) were all held out of practice.
Archer not practicing begs the question of what the Steelers will do if he's unable to play in Thursday's game against the Baltimore Ravens, as he is the final running back of three on the depth chart. Moore missed the Cleveland Browns game Sunday and was replaced in the lineup by second-year receiver Justin Brown who had three catches for 38 yards in his NFL debut.
Ike Taylor, Heath Miller, Troy Polamalu and Brett Keisel were given the practice off under coach's discretion.
The Steelers will play the Ravens in the first nationally televised Thursday night game at 7:30 p.m. ET.
