AFC North Recap Week 12: Baltimore Ravens lose, by winning

All 4 teams in the AFC North were in action in Week 12, see how everything shook out for the Steelers, Ravens, Browns and Bengals.

Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

Week 12 of NFL action is officially in the books, and it is time to take a look at the AFC North and the four teams who call the division home. Heading into Week 13, the Cincinnati Bengals have all but locked up the division, while the Pittsburgh Steelers continue to cling to their playoff hopes with 5 games remaining. As for the Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns, they are jockeying for NFL Draft position, and even the Ravens can't do that correctly.

Here is how things went down in Week 12:

Pittsburgh Steelers - 30 / Seattle Seahawks - 39

The Steelers had their opportunities to win, but with 4 interceptions which equated to 19 points for Seattle, it wasn't enough to cement themselves in the AFC Playoff Picture. The loss dropped the Steelers' record to 6-5, and on the outside looking in with 5 weeks remaining. Injuries to Ben Roethlisberger, Ryan Shazier and Heath Miller loom large for the black and gold moving forward.

Week 13: Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Indianapolis Colts - 8:20 p.m. EDT

Cincinnati Bengals - 31 / St. Louis Rams - 7

The Bengals put the screws to the Rams, and ended their two-game losing streak at home against a far inferior opponent. The game was close in the first half, but the Cincinnati defense was too much for a Rams offense which struggled to move the ball with Nick Foles at quarterback. The win propels Cincinnati to 9-2, and now with a clear grasp on the division.

Week 13: Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns - 1:00 p.m. EDT

Baltimore Ravens - 33 / Cleveland Browns - 27

In a battle for last place in the division, it was the Baltimore Ravens who won in dramatic fashion. With the Browns attempting a 51-yard field goal as time expired, the Ravens blocked the field goal and returned the loose ball for a touchdown, giving them the victory. Despite winning, you can't help but think the Ravens are losing. At 4-7 the Ravens are far from in the hunt in the AFC Playoff Picture, and the more they win, the further back they will draft in the upcoming 2016 NFL Draft.

If they want to know how to get high draft picks, they simply had to look across the field on Monday Night Football to witness the masters. The Browns are continually finding ways to lose, and last night was no exception. The Browns, 2-9, will again be in the Top 5 in the upcoming draft, likely with a new head coach. The Ravens, who seem willing to battle till the bitter end with their injury-depleted roster, could win their way to the middle of the pack in terms of the next NFL draft.

Week 13: Baltimore Ravens at Miami Dolphins - 1:00 p.m. EDT /  Browns vs. Bengals - 1:00 p.m. EDT

AFC North Standings after Week 12:
Cincinnati Bengals - 9-2
Pittsburgh Steelers - 6-5
Baltimore Ravens - 4-7
Cleveland Browns - 2-9
