The AFC North is seeing a rebound the past few weeks. After being a laughing stock of the AFC, the North has climbed back to prominence. No, it isn’t the AFC West, which could see three teams from the division make the playoffs, but it is far from the laughing stock it once was.
After Week 13 has concluded for all four teams that call the AFC North home, it is time to check how teams performed this week, and to update the standings.
Baltimore Ravens - 38
Miami Dolphins - 6
The six points the Dolphins scored might make it resemble a level of competency that even they didn’t have in Week 13. This was a beat down to the highest degree. The Ravens ended the Dolphins winning streak, and keep pace as the leader of the AFC North pack.
Week 14 Opponent: BAL at NE (Monday Night Football)
Cincinnati Bengals - 32
Philadelphia Eagles - 14
The Bengals keep their hopes of possibly climbing into relevance again alive, at least for another week. The Bengals dominated the Eagles, improving their record in the process. The Bengals might not make the playoffs, but they could play a factor in the division as they still have games against Baltimore and Pittsburgh remaining on their schedule.
Week 14 Opponent: CIN at CLE
Pittsburgh Steelers - 24
New York Giants - 14
The final score might seem as if this was a close game, but it was far from it. The Steelers defense stood tall on more than one occasion, and the offense was a product of the ‘Killer B’s’. Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell lived up to the billing, and Ladarius Green has the team with a new weapon at their disposal.
Week 14 Opponent: PIT at BUF
AFC North Standings
Baltimore Ravens - 7-5
Pittsburgh Steelers - 7-5
Cincinnati Bengals - 4-7-1
Cleveland Browns - 0-12
