When it comes to Super Bowl wins, no one has anything on the Pittsburgh Steelers. Their 6 Lombardi Trophies which reside in the team’s Rooney UPMC Facility are a testament to one of the best franchises in all of sports.
With Super Bowl 51 just days away, it is always fun to look back and try to put together some sort of list as to which Super Bowl win was the greatest.
Pittsburgh has been in the big game 8 times, winning 6. Yeah, no one wants to talk about Neil O’Donnell or Rashard Mendenhall as the goats, not standing for greatest of all time, for their roles in the team’s two Super Bowl defeats.
So, which Super Bowl win was the best? In case you forget, which I doubt you did, let’s look at the nominees:
- Super Bowl IX win over the Minnesota Vikings
- Super Bowl X win over the Dallas Cowboys
- Super Bowl XIII win over the Dallas Cowboys
- Super Bowl XIV win over the Rams
- Super Bowl XL win over the Seattle Seahawks
- Super Bowl XLIII win over the Arizona Cardinals
Every game has it’s place in Steelers’ lore, but which was your absolute favorite? Maybe it was because of a party, or you were there live, or maybe just because the game was extremely exciting.
As for me, my vote goes to Super Bowl 43. I was’t alive for the Steel Curtain dynasty, but that game had it all. Big plays, drama and a thrilling finish. Absolutely incredible.
So, vote for your favorite Steelers Super Bowl in below, feel free to rank them in the comment section, as well as share any reason why you picked the game you did.
