When it comes to pro sports, player hate sometimes comes from too much familiarity. In the current edition of BTSC’S look at who Steeler Nation dislikes the most, we take a look at two AFC North foes. Will it be the rival QB or the self-destructive defensive back. It is your call.
#6 Joe Flacco - Baltimore Ravens
Flacco probably isn’t hated anywhere else in the country than in Pittsburgh. His performance against the Steelers and his penchant for beating them 50% of the time in the past ten seasons would be a big factor. But the media’s and Baltimore fans insist that he is an elite quarterback annoys fans even more. Against the Steelers, this ordinary Joe has a record of 10-10. He has thrown for 23 TDs against 13 interceptions. But he seems to save his best for matchups against Pittsburgh.
#11 Dre Kirkpatrick - Cincinnati Bengals
Kirkpatrick isn't nearly as bad a seed as some of his other notorious teammates, but he melted down with consecutive holding penalties and grabs in a December 2016 collapse in Cincinnati. Kirkpatrick, who typically plays well against Antonio Brown, went on an expletive-laden rant after the game on how the refs don't call anything on Pittsburgh, only Cincinnati. There were some flirtations with Pittsburgh and Dre, but Kirkpatrick opted to stay in the jungle.
