Super Bowl 52: Steelers fans should watch Patriots vs. Eagles in the comfort of their own home

The Pittsburgh Steelers won’t be playing in Super Bowl 52, and even more reason why fans should just stay at home and root against New England.

The Pittsburgh Steelers came up short of the Super Bowl, again, and fans are jaded. To be honest, jaded might be an understatement. Fans are furious.

After the 45-42 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in the Divisional round, Steelers fans have had to watch the New England Patriots, with former Steelers legend James Harrison on the roster, make their way to the Super Bowl for what feels like the 30th time in a row.

Yeah, fans aren’t happy, and they won’t be happy for a long time depending on the outcome of the big game in just a few weeks. In fact, if the Steelers fans reading this are like me, they will probably be sitting on their couch mumbling over and over again about Tom Brady and Bill Belichick...and just how annoying their success has been to witness.

For that reason, and many more, I feel the best place for Steelers fans to watch the Patriots and Eagles Super Bowl is in the comfort of your own home. Throw a party if you want, but your sulking might not be the best attitude for people who actually want to watch the game.

Naturally, you are free to watch the game wherever you’d like, but the Eagles fan next door throwing a party might not want to hear you talk about Jesse James’ overturned touchdown, and how if the NFL’s catch rule wasn’t so idiotic the Steelers would somehow be in the Super Bowl, not New England.

The bar scene is certainly an option for many, but I don’t recommend drowning your sorrows in public. It just isn’t a good look for anyone.

So, what are your plans for the big game? Hosting a party? Going to someone else’s party? Headed to the local watering hole? Or are you like me and you will sit at home disgusted with the fact your favorite team will be watching the game somewhere, instead of playing?
