The Pittsburgh Steelers gave three players restricted free agent tenders. Those three players were Antwon Blake, Will Johnson and Robert Golden. Blake signed his one-year tender a few weeks ago, and Johnson is the latest to ink a deal keeping him with the Steelers for another season.
Many feel Johnson is highly under utilized with his skill set being versatile enough to play multiple positions within the Steelers' offense. Johnson can line up at full back, running back and even play tight end. Johnson hasn't had huge statistics with the Steelers, but stats don't always show the true value of a player.
In 2014, Johnson had 6 receptions for 41 yards, with half of those receptions equating in a first down for the Steelers. On top of his contributions on the offensive side of the ball, Johnson also is a contributor on special team as well. Johnson might be more known for the video which surfaced of him in the offseason flipping an 800 lbs. tire...for fun.
