Steelers Injury Report: List of limited participants grows at Thursday's practice

The Pittsburgh Steelers are just days away from playing the Arizona Cardinals in Week-6 action and the list of limited participants in practice continues to grow.

Thursday in a typical work week for NFL teams isn't the most important practice day. That would be allocated to Friday, a player's last chance to practice before the game on Sunday. The Pittsburgh Steelers saw a couple players return to practice on Thursday, but most were limited in their participation.

The player who returned to the practice field was Jarvis Jones, whose hip injury suffered during the team's Week-5 win over the San Diego Chargers held him out of practice on Tuesday. Cortez Allen (knee), Ryan Shazier (shoulder) and Ben Roethlisberger (knee) were all limited participants for the second day in a row.

Will Allen (ankle) did not practice for the second straight day and looks as if he will be out of the lineup for the game against the Arizona Cardinals this week at Heinz Field. Robert Golden and Shamarko Thomas would be the replacements for the veteran safety if he's unable to play.

Daniel McCullers (knee), who missed the past three games, and Martavis Bryant (knee), who missed last week's game, both were full participants for the second straight day. Their full participation is a good sign that they've moved past their respective injuries and should be ready to resume their roles on the team's 53-man roster this Sunday at Heinz Field.

The Cardinals and Steelers will square off at Heinz Field at 1:00 p.m. EDT on Sunday.
