Recently in a 'Friday Night 5 Questions and Open Thread' article, I asked fans if they believed in the power of "Renegade". For those who don't know, "Renegade" was a popular song by the 80s rock band Styx which has turned into the Pittsburgh Steelers theme song, or rallying cry, at crucial points in games at Heinz Field.
When they play the song always depends on the situation. Sometimes it is when the team needs a key defensive stop, another could be when the team desperately needs a turnover. Regardless, the song is almost always played when the defense steps onto the Heinz Field turf.
In all likelihood, the Steelers are set to play their final home game of 2015 against the Denver Broncos in Week 15, and expect "Renegade" to be queued up and ready to roll. Could this be a "double Renegade" game like fans experienced in 2008 when the Dallas Cowboys came to town?
Only time will tell, but one thing is certain, this version of "Renegade" by Benstonium will get your blood pumping and ready to go for the big AFC showdown at 4:25 p.m. EDT.
