Stakes are high in Week 13 as many NFL teams are fighting for playoff spots. After their loss to the Seahawks in Week 12, the match up against the Indianapolis Colts is a must-win for the Black and Gold. In addition to real football, Week 13 is an important week for fantasy owners. Which players should you start, and which should you sit for Sunday's game.
Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Heath Milller
Miller suffered a rib injury during the Week 12 game and is questionable for Sunday night. Though Heath Miller is a favorite target for Ben Roethlisberger, his injury will likely prevent him from contributing on Sunday.
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant
Bryant has had some big games during his time with the Steelers, but he was unreliable and inconsistent in Week 12. Bryant also has a hip injury that could limit his productivity.
Pittsburgh Steelers Defense
The Pittsburgh Steelers defense has had a few good games, but if you are a fantasy owner, the best place for the Steelers defense is on your bench. The defense gave up an absurd number of yards to both Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russel Wilson. While the defense is capable of performing OK-ish, that isn't good enough for your fantasy team if you have a choice.
Indianapolis Colts Defense
Do not start the Colts defense either. Ben Roethlisberger and company have been carving up opposing defenses throughout the season.
Indianapolis Colts RB Frank Gore
The Steelers defense is also inconsistent against the run and could have trouble stopping Frank Gore. Nonetheless, there are better options than Gore at running back. He only had 24 yards against Tampa Bay and 34 yards against Atlanta. He did have a productive week against the Denver Broncos defense, earning 15 fantasy points, but most of his games has seen single-digit fantasy production.
Pittsburgh Steelers RB DeAngelo Williams
Running back Le'Veon Bell is out for the season, and Williams has been incredibly productive in his stead. He has had several games over 100 yards. Williams generated 36 fantasy points in Week 9 against the Oakland Raiders with 170 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Against Seattle, he earned a solid 16 with 29 rushing yards and one touchdown. Williams can also catch, which makes him a dual threat.
Indianapolis Colts WR TY Hilton
Hilton should have a strong game against an inept Pittsburgh Steelers secondary that has allowed the second most passing yards so far this season. Last week against Tampa Bay, Hilton racked up 21 points with 6 completions for 95 yards and two touchdowns.
Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger
Roethlisberger could have a monster game against the Indianapolis Colts. Receiver Markus Wheaton had a career game in Week 13, while Antonio Brown was just named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month for November. If Martavis Bryant is healthy and able to hang on to the ball, the Steelers offense could generate an absurd number of passing yards.
