The Pittsburgh Steelers and Indianapolis Colts did battle in Week 13 on the prime time stage, and following the game there are players who should be recognized for their contributions, as well as their deficiencies throughout the game. Here at BTSC we like to call them our 'Winners' and 'Losers'. Take a look at who we label as a 'Winner' and who gets dubbed a 'Loser' following the Week 13 game at Heinz Field".
Winners
Ben Roethlisberger - It seems that Colts fans may have every reason to hate Ben Roethlisberger over the years. His performance tonight added 24 completions on 39 attempts for 364 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions and two dropped touchdowns from Martavis Bryant.
Antonio Brown - The undisputed #1 wide receiver in the league did it again; eight catches for 118 yards, two touchdowns and a punt return for a touchdown with another silly celebration.
Alejandro Villenueva - Up against one of the best 4-3 pass rushers from my generation of watching football, Robert Mathis, Villenueva brought one heck of a performance to the field tonight in protecting Ben Roethlisberger all night long.
DeAngelo Williams - 134 yards on 26 carries for a great performance that showed again just how valuable of a free agent acquisition he has been in 2015. Williams was the biggest benefactor from Pittsburgh returning to power formations against the Colts and had several hard runs.
James Harrison - Silverback returned tonight like he never left, recording three sacks and forcing a fumble/turnover highlighted a fun night for Steelers fans to watch one of their favorite players have a big night in what is most likely his final season.
Loser
Jacoby Jones - I know this comes as a shocker, but Jones is a loser today. After fumbling twice, one leading to a turnover to start the game, Jones all but sealed his fate as a returner for this team, and possibly any team in the NFL.
Honorable Mentions
Martavis Bryant - He would be an absolute winner had he not dropped two touchdowns, but he still put up a solid night of four catches for 114 yards and a touchdown on his explosive play of the night.
Vince Williams - Another solid fill-in night for the 6th round draft pick from Florida State with 5 tackles and two assists. He's making more of a case for Pittsburgh to keep him around after his contract is up after next season.
Brandon Boykin - His interception caused a miniature Twitter explosion of Steelers fans who have been waiting for Boykin to see more time. The Steelers showed a consistent rotation of cornerbacks throughout the game and Boykin looked to be just as competent as any other Steelers' cornerback.
