It was business as usual for the Pittsburgh Steelers this week as they prepared for their Week 9 opponent, the Oakland Raiders. Well, for everyone except the team's defensive captain Cameron Heyward. Heyward's wife was due to deliver their first child, a son, on November 8th, the day of the team's game against Oakland.
As the date approached, media began their usual questions on whether Heyward would play or not if the baby was being delivered on the day of the game. Heyward continually repeated he would be at the birth of his first born child, regardless of when it happened.
Turns out, Heyward's son decided to show up a day early.

As Heyward mentioned in his tweet, it seems as if the defensive end will be in the lineup this Sunday at Heinz Field, and likely with a new perspective on life after experiencing the miracle of birth in front of his eyes
Congratulations to Heyward and his wife on their first child, I'm sure Heyward would like nothing more than to put a dominant performance on the field Sunday as a birthday gift to his son.
