The Pittsburgh Steelers were able to gut out a hard fought 38-35 victory over the Oakland Raiders at Heinz Field in Week 9 action, but the locker room was far from raucous following the game. Yes, the offense was able to score 38 points, but lost their leader Ben Roethlisberger, again, for the short-term with a left foot injury. For the defense, they were repeatedly gashed by Derek Carr and the Raiders, surrendering the most points in this 2015 season.
Nonetheless, as bad as it was at times, the Steelers are now 5-4, and again in control after 9 games of their playoff destiny with a big head-to-head team over the Raiders, who fall to 4-4. The Steelers will likely have to play at least one game this Sunday against the Cleveland Browns without Ben Roethlisberger in the lineup, but following the Browns game is their bye week and hope remains Roethlisberger will be ready to play following the week off.
Take a listen to the audio below as you hear from a myriad of Steelers players and coaches ranging from Mike Tomlin to the man who kicked the game-winning field goal, Chris Boswell.
