Steelers inactives vs. the Chargers highlighted by NT Daniel McCullers

New, comments

The Pittsburgh Steelers have set their lineup for their Monday Night Football game against the Chargers. See who isn't getting a 'hat' for prime time.

Jason Bridge-USA TODAY Sports

We are close to the Pittsburgh Steelers and San Diego Chargers going to battle on Monday Night Football in Week 5 action, but not all members of the 53-man roster will be participating in the action in the Golden State. Below are the inactives for Pittsburgh against the Chargers.

While there aren't many surprises on this, list both Cortez Allen and Daniel MucCullers are certainly ones who would be closest to such a label. Both McCullers and Allen were full participants throughout the week of practice, yet were either not ready to return, or re-aggravated their injury. The loss of McCullers certainly won't help a Steelers defense which surrendered over 190 yards on the ground the last time they took the field against the Baltimore Ravens.

Other inactives for the Steelers are Ben Roethlisberger (knee), Ryan Shazier (shoulder), Anthony Chickillo (healthy scratch), Chris Hubbard (healthy scratch), Jesse James (healthy scratch).

For those looking for Martavis Bryant on the list, he was held off the team's 53-man roster with a knee injury. The team will have till Tuesday to put him on the roster, and will have to release a current member of the team to make room for the second year wide receiver.
