The Pittsburgh Steelers are squaring off against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 12, and they have lost two starters to injury in the first half. Tight end Heath Miller has been taken into the locker room for an apparent rib injury sustained at some point in the second quarter.

The other injury was to second year inside linebacker Ryan Shazier, who left the game with a head injury.

Shazier will have to clear the new NFL concussion protocol before returning to the game. If he is having any symptoms of a concussion he will not be permitted to return to the field of play. Teams have certainly been warned about the concussion protocol after St. Louis Rams quarterback Case Keenum was left in the game after clearly being dazed in Week 11.
Stay tuned to BTSC for any news on both of these injuries.
UPDATE: Heath Miller has returned to the field for the Steelers' final drive in the second quarter, but has left the game again and is listed as questionable for his return in the second half.
UPDATE: Ryan Shazier will not return in Week 12 after suffering a concussion.
