Steelers Injury Report: Pittsburgh’s game day report starting to take shape

The Pittsburgh Steelers wrapped up their Thursday practice, and their game day report is starting to take shape.

After Mike Tomlin’s Tuesday press conference, followed by the Wednesday practice report, fans of the Pittsburgh Steelers were left shaking their heads. A ton of players appeared to be banged up and several of those missed practice completely.

While fans were wondering just how healthy the Steelers would be for the AFC Divisional Round game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, the Thursday practice report provided some much-needed clarity.

Regarding the Ben Roethlisberger injury situation, as predicted, Roethlisberger returned to practice on Thursday and was a full participant. Barring a setback, it seems as if Roethlisberger will be ready to go on Sunday.

However, not all injury news was good. Ladarius Green, who has missed the past three weeks with a concussion, missed his second practice of the week. In other words, it would be shocking if he’s able to play on Sunday, considering that he still hasn’t been cleared from the NFL’s strict concussion protocol.

Despite the likely absence of Green, the Steelers saw Sean Davis (shoulder) and Stephon Tuitt (ankle) return to full participation in practice, while Fitzgerald Toussaint (concussion) returned after missing Wednesday.

Anthony Chickillo (ankle) and Ricardo Mathews (ankle) both are likely to miss the game after missing both Wednesday and Thursday practices. For the full injury report on both the Steelers and Chiefs, see the list below:
