Steelers Injury Report: Big name players on both sides questionable for Week 9 tilt

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens have put the final touches on their injury reports leading to the Week 9 game at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, MD. While both teams have at least one player ruled out for the big AFC North game, the true tale is with the players listed as questionable.

For fans who have followed injury reports in the past, they still hear ‘Questionable’ and think the player has a 50-50 chance of playing. After all, this was the way it was handled up until 2016. Now, the ‘Questionable’ tag essentially means a player is ‘Probably’, or likely to play.

It becomes a matter of semantics, but the Steelers have two key players given the ‘Questionable’ tag heading into Sunday’s game. DeAngelo Williams was a surprise attendee at practice Friday after missing Thursday with a knee injury, and Ben Roethlisberger remained limited throughout the week. Roethlisberger is expected to play, barring a setback, but Williams is truly a wild card in regards to his availability.

Baltimore’s list of players who could be in, or could be out, is longer, and also carries some significant names on it. The names Yanda, Smith Sr., Suggs, Webb and Mosley certainly are significant, and although most of these names will be active on game day, there is a chance some won’t.
