The 4-4 Pittsburgh Steelers host the 7-1 Dallas Cowboys at Heinz Field Sunday in Week 10 NFL action. Based solely on records, this game is a no-brainer. The Steelers have dropped three games in a row, while the Cowboys haven’t lost since Week 1.
However, on paper, there is talent all across the board for both teams. Each offense has a plethora of weapons at their disposal, with defenses capable of winning games, and also capable of losing them.
In regards to Las Vegas, they surprisingly see the Steelers as home favorites in this classic inter-conference matchup. In fact, with Pittsburgh opening as 3-point favorites, the line hasn’t adjusted too much with most books still having Pittsburgh favored by 2.0 or 2.5-points.
Vegas must see something most others don’t, but what about those experts who submit weekly picks? Who do they have winning this Week 10 game? Time to take a look...
If you are looking for a place to go which is pro-Steelers, CBS Sports is for you. Of their 8 experts, only one thinks the Cowboys will leave Heinz Field with their 8th win of the season. On the flip side, if you are looking for a pro-Cowboys site, there are a few. Here at SB Nation they are leaning heavy on Dallas, and the same can be said about the experts at ESPN. FOX Sports has an even split of experts picking Pittsburgh and Dallas in this classic showdown between two NFL powerhouse franchises.
These are just four sites we promote on a weekly basis, but there are other expert panels on the internet which should be noted. This is where our friends at NFL Pick Watch come in. NFL Pick Watch is a website which takes all expert picks, calculates them and puts them into one easy-to-read location. For this game, they have 54-percent of online experts picking the Cowboys to win. Not too bad considering the discrepancy of records.
Either way you look at it, the Steelers and Cowboys game should be entertaining. This game has shoot out written all over it, and although Vegas is pointing to Pittsburgh, the experts are leaning the other way. Only time will tell who will leave Heinz Field with a ‘W’, but this game is bordering desperation for the boys in the Steel City.
