The Pittsburgh Steelers were dominant in their 43-14 rout of the Kansas City Chiefs at Heinz Field in Week 4, but the win came at a cost. For the second week in a row, the Steelers had an extremely lengthy injury report after the game. Here is the rundown of players who left the game injured, according to head coach Mike Tomlin after the game.
- Anthony Chickillo (left knee)
- Ryan Harris (hematoma)
- Jarvis Jones (left ankle)
- Marcus Gilbert (mid-foot)
- Darrius Heyward-Bey (shoulder)
These injuries were added to the long list of players who were ruled out heading into this game against Kansas City.
- Ryan Shazier (knee)
- Robert Golden (hamstring)
- Ramon Foster (chest)
- Eli Rogers (toe)
- Roosevelt Nix (back)
Needless to say, the Steelers are a banged up bunch, and although Tomlin didn't go into detail on any of the injuries, there is a hope some of the players who were both removed in Week 4, and missed the Kansas City game, will return for the Week 5 game at Heinz Field vs. the New York Jets.
An update on the injured players, and their availability, will be made known at Mike Tomlin's Tuesday press conference. Stay tuned to BTSC for the latest on the injury situation, as well as other news surrounding the black and gold.
