The Pittsburgh Steelers fell to the New England Patriots 27-16 in Week 7, but if there was a bright spot following the loss it was on the team's injury report. After ruling 7 players out of the game, most notably Ben Roethlisberger, Cameron Heyward and Marcus Gilbert, the Steelers thankfully suffered no more injuries to add to their growing list as they head into the bye week.
The only minor injury of note during the game was the leg injury to Antonio Brown, which Mike Tomlin classified as a quadriceps injury after the game. Brown did leave the game, but was able to come back and participate in the fourth quarter.
For the Steelers, the bye week can't come soon enough. The week of rest will be crucial for players like Roethlisberger, Heyward and Gilbert, but also players who need to get fully healthy. Some of those players would be Robert Golden (foot), Markus Wheaton (shoulder), Sammie Coates (finger), Ryan Shazier (knee) and a slew of others who are in need of getting right from a health standpoint.
The Steelers will hope they get plenty of players back in the fold for the final 9 games of the regular season.
