The Pittsburgh Steelers are so banged up they had to move players to injured reserve Saturday to fill out the game game day roster. 9 players were ruled out for the team on Friday, and the injury concerns continue after the team's big Week 5 win over the New York Jets in Week 5 at Heinz Field.
The biggest name added to the growing injury list is Cameron Heyward. Heyward left the first half with a hamstring injury, and did not return. After the game, Mike Tomlin not only listed Heyward with his hamstring injury, but a few other players as well.
Here is the full list of those who left the game, or were injured during it.
Safety Shamarko Thomas (groin)
WR Sammie Coates (finger)
OLB Jarvis Jones (wrist)
The good news, if there is such a thing in an injury report as long as Pittsburgh's, is there were no serious injuries dealt to the black and gold. As the team prepares for the Miami Dolphins in Week 6, there is a chance they could get several players back in the fold. Some players who could possibly return could be: Robert Golden (hamstring), Ryan Shazier (knee), WR Eli Rogers and FB Rooseelt Nix.
The Steelers and Dolphins game will be at 1:00 p.m. EDT in Week 6 in Miami. Stay tuned to BTSC for the latest news on the Pittsburgh Steelers.
