ESPN reporting A.J. Green out for Sunday’s matchup with Steelers

Cincinnati Bengals’ top receiver reportedly will miss another game.

The Pittsburgh Steelers got a bit of good news today, as Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green, officially listed “doubtful” this week due to a hamstring injury, will not play Sunday against the Black and Gold, according to ESPN’s Bob Holtzman.

Green is slated to hopefully return for the Bengals’ December 24th game in Houston, according to the ESPN source.

Green was injured in the November 20th game against the Buffalo Bills, when he came down hard trying to make a catch. Sunday's matchup at Paul Brown Stadium will be the fourth straight game that Green misses.

The loss of Green makes the job of the Pittsburgh defense a lot easier, considering how dynamic he is as a pass catcher for Andy Dalton. Without Green, the Steelers can put their focus on the other Cincinnati receivers, the most lethal of the group might actually be tight end Tyler Eifert.

Nonetheless, it won’t be easy for the Steelers to waltz into Paul Brown Stadium and leave with a win, but the job just got easier with Green reportedly out of the lineup.
