The Pittsburgh Steelers are in the fortunate position where they can rest many of their starters as they walk through a meaningless Week 17 game against the Cleveland Browns at Heinz Field.

It isn’t as if the Steelers won’t try to win the football game, they certainly will, but they will be doing so with Landry Jones instead of Ben Roethlisberger, DeAngelo Williams instead of Le’Veon Bell and a combination of Eli Rogers, Cobi Hamilton and Demarcus Ayers instead of Antonio Brown.

As the team put the final touches on their injury report, they ruled out three players for the Week 17 game. Safety Robert Golden (ankle), tight end Ladarius Green (concussion) and Stephon Tuitt (knee) will all be inactive for the game Sunday at Heinz Field.

Meanwhile, outside linebacker Anthony Chickillo (ankle) and tight end Xavier Grimble (ribs) are both listed as questionable for the final regular season game of 2016.

The Steelers are likely keeping both Green and Tuitt out for precautionary reasons, hopeful to have them fully healthy in the Wild Card round of the AFC Playoffs. As fans are concerned with the health of both of these starters, their practice participation leading up to the Wild Card playoff game will be the true indicator of their availability.
