Status report for @Steelers: RT Gilbert is out; OLB Harrison is doubtful; NT McLendon is questionable. Everyone else is probable
— Bob Labriola (@BobLabriola) December 5, 2014
The Pittsburgh Steelers are preparing for the biggest game of the 2014 season against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday and they'll most likely be without some key pieces of their lineup in this AFC North divisional matchup.
Right tackle Marcus Gilbert (ankle) will be missing his second consecutive game and has been deemed out for the upcoming game. In his place will be Mike Adams who will be getting his third start of the season in Gilbert's place.
Outside linebacker James Harrison (knee) is listed as doubtful for the game on Sunday, all but ruling out the veteran linebacker. In his place, Arthur Moats will take more snaps, but the Steelers plan to activate Jarvis Jones off of the injured-reserve list for the upcoming game. Jones will likely split time with Moats at the right outside linebacker position.
Possibly the most important injury is to nose tackle Steve McLendon (shoulder). McLendon is listed as questionable and has missed the past two games. He will be a key to stopping the Bengals' running attack. If McLendon isn't able to suit up on Sunday, his replacement will be rookie Daniel McCullers.
All other players who have been on the injury report throughout the week are listed as probable. The Steelers play the Bengals in Cincinnati on Sunday with a 1 p.m. ET kickoff.
