NFL Week 15 Picks: Who the experts are taking in Steelers vs. Falcons

The Pittsburgh Steelers have a lot riding on this Week 15 matchup in the Georgia Dome, but so do the 5-8 Atlanta Falcons. See who the experts are taking in this very important contest.

Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

Coming off a resounding 42-21 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, the Pittsburgh Steelers seem to be clicking on all cylinders. Not that there aren't flaws on the team, but Steelers fans have seen this song and dance before. Win a big game, lose the next week to a team with a lesser record.

As the Steelers prepare to play the Atlanta Falcons, who own the first place spot in the NFC South with a 5-8 record, they realize if they want to keep control of their own destiny, they can't lose a game in their final three. A lot of pressure on a team who has folded on more than one occasion in 2014.

The experts have placed their picks for the upcoming game, and it is time we take a look at who the experts are taking to win the game this Sunday in Atlanta.

When an 8-5 team plays a 5-8 team you would think the picks would be unanimous in favor of the 8-5 team, regardless of venue. However, the 2014 Steelers have been disappointing in many areas this year, and consistency on a week-to-week basis is one of them. It is no surprise that the experts at SB Nation and FoxSports.com are split 50-50 on this game.

The same cannot be said about those at Yahoo! Sports and ESPN.com. Yahoo! Sports sees the Steelers as unanimous favorites to win, while the ESPN panel is heavily favoring Pitsburgh in this matchup on the road.

For those fans who are waiting for the let down, CBSSports.com is your place. 5 of their 8 experts who make selections on a weekly basis see this game going to the home team, as the Falcons look to extend their lead in the abysmal NFC South.

This Steelers team is hard to predict, which is evident by few panels heavily favoring the Steelers. Nonetheless, put everything together and this is a game the experts see as possibly going down to the wire, but in the end favoring the Steelers.
