The Pittsburgh Steelers travel to Everbank Field Sunday to face the winless Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars are a team that has been riddled with nagging injuries, and have already deemed some players as 'out' for the contest Sunday. However, they will be getting back some weapons that could make for some interesting matchups come Sunday.
Rookie wide receiver out of USC, Marqise Lee and 4th year wide receiver Cecil Shorts III have been declared as unable to play this Sunday against the Steelers.
Not household names in any stretch of the imagination, but it certainly does deplete a wide receiving corps that has already been depleted in many different ways.
Luckily for the Jaguars, and maybe not so lucky for the Steelers, reinforcements seem to be on the way. Second year receiver Ace Sanders returns to the Jaguars' lineup after serving a 4-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
Along with Sanders being inserted into the lineup, 5th year tight end Clay Harbor finally looks to be back to full health after being hampered with injuries so far this season.
Sanders is the playmaker of the group. As a rookie he caught 51 passes for 484 yards, and also was the Jaguars' primary return man. Sanders joins Allen Hurns and rookie Allen Robinson as the top receivers on the Jaguars' roster.
With Blake Bortles taking the reigns of the offense, he will look to expose the Steelers' secondary early and often. Getting some of his weapons back to his disposal will certainly help him in that endeavor.
