Not in an effort to kick the Steelers while they're down, or provide more atmosphere surrounding the 0-4 Steelers, but CBS has announced analyst and former Steelers head coach Bill Cowher will be in the broadcast booth with Jim Nantz and Phil Simms when the Steelers take on the Jets in Week 6.

Cowher resigned from the Steelers after the 2006 season, giving way to current coach Mike Tomlin. Cowher won 149 regular season games with the Steelers from 1992-06. Cowher led the Steelers to the Super Bowl XL championship, the franchise's sixth title.

In an interview with For The Win, Cowher said he isn't worried about being too sensitive to the Steelers, and doesn't have any issues with Tomlin.

"Listen, Mike Tomlin’s a good football coach. He’s established himself. It’s been six plus years since I left there."

He also said he "coached with the best organization in the National Football League," something he considers a blessing.

Those in the Steelers organization may not be as close to that opinion as they have in the past. Pittsburgh is off to its worst start in 45 years, and amid lineup and roster changes, they're taking on the surprising Jets and one of the league's best run defenses.
